Research origin
and motivation
An independent research and product effort developing P/G Theory and experimental agent systems.
The research question
Representing relationships as part of state
P/G Dynamics develops explicit models of properties, relationships, and their consequences. The research asks how changes in these representations contribute to affective and behavioral dynamics, and which mechanisms add information beyond simpler alternatives.
P/G originated in the distinction between private, entity-level properties and relational or group structure. Recurring patterns across biological and social behavior, including cross-species observations, motivated separate questions about affect, manners, and valuation. The current program treats this broader origin as research motivation, not an established definition of life, and narrows it into explicit computational models and falsifiable predictions.
Research and engineering
From theory to experimental systems
The research program investigates explicit representations of entity state, relationships, affective consequences, and behavioral dynamics.
The engineering program develops and evaluates P/G Engine as an experimental implementation of specified mechanisms, alongside MVP and product development.
From formal models to controlled studies
The current program distinguishes theoretical definitions, implemented mechanisms, and empirical predictions. The specified core and experimental pipeline have been implemented and verified end to end for the current computational program under tested synthetic conditions. The next evidence step is the prepared Stage B human study, which has not started. Human correspondence remains untested. Stage A computational verification and mechanistic evaluation and the first registered CTT cycle are complete, with R2-2 retained as a documented limitation. The papers are in manuscript closure and integration; further CTT work belongs to a later computational cycle, and the separate Stage C human study is gated on Stage B completing its required sequence. Games are the first selected domain for future controlled agent experiments; the completed computational manuscript cycle is separate from the prepared Stage B human protocol, which uses structured vignettes and has not started.
